Dr. Taylor R. Finn is a board-certified Orthodontist and the next stop on your smile journey. She specializes in braces and clear aligners for children and adults, creating unique treatment plans for every patient.
Prior to graduating Cum Laude with a degree in Mathematical Sciences from Binghamton University, Dr. Finn was inducted into and served on the executive board of numerous honor societies. Following graduation, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Master of Science in Orthodontics degrees from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Upon both graduations, she was the recipient of the American Association of Orthodontists Award of Excellence and the Dr. Nicholas DiSalvo Scholarship in Postdoctoral Orthodontics, respectively.
Access to healthcare is a passion of Dr. Finn’s and she has spent years contributing to the literature through her research on vulnerable populations. She has been published in the Journal for Dental Research, the Journal of the William Jarvie Research Society, and most recently, in BMC Oral Health. After receiving the Birnberg Summer Research Fellowship Award, she was invited to present her research nationally at the Greater New York Dental Meeting, the Birnberg Research Symposium, and the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) Annual Session in Chicago. She also presented her research internationally in Bogotá, Colombia at the International Association for Dental Research/Latin American Region (IADR/LAR) General Session and Exhibition with World Congress on Preventative Dentistry (WCPD). At AAO, she was the recipient of the William R. Proffit Resident Scholar Award and won the Third Place Award in the Clinical Research Category. At IADR, she received the prestigious Bernard G. Sarnat Award in Craniofacial Biology.
Beyond her academics and research experience, Dr. Finn aims to deliver the highest quality care while meeting each individual’s specific dental needs. Her patient-centered focus, clinical expertise, enthusiasm for biomechanics, proficient use of innovative technology, and compassion for patient care makes her approach to smile design unique. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, and an active member of American Dental Association.
